Are there any grants to help me save energy?
Yes! Ask your Installer to explain them to you. The more you improve the energy saving, the higher the grant.

Can I install it myself?
Yes, although not recommended. A qualified installer is like a doctor for the building envelope of buildings. They have the knowledge, the products and equipment to extract all the benefits of using Cellulose Insulation.

Can I put it over the existing insulation in my attic?
Igloo Cellulose insulation may be applied over existing batting in attics of already built structures to increase R-value and improve thermal resistance and reduce heat loss. Adding 6 or more inches of loose Cellulose seals all the spaces between batts acting as an energy saving blanket in your attic.

Can I use it in the walls?
Igloo Cellulose can be injected in the exterior walls of existing homes or buildings by drilling small openings from the inside or the outside. The insulation material is dense packed using plugs to close openings for a smooth finish.

How come I never heard of Cellulose before?
Although Cellulose. has been around for more than sixty years it is only recently that homeowners, architects and engineers have discovered that Cellulose is the better and modern way to replace traditional glass or mineral fiber insulation.

Newspaper? Will it burn?
Cellulose wood fiber is treated with borates chemicals that absorb oxygen to choke the flame that requires oxygen to burn. Cellulose melts at a very high temperature and is well know that Cellulose is actually considered a fire barrier.

The usage of Igloo Cellulose Insulation material in steel buildings is guaranteed by our company.
Igloo Cellulose Insulation has been tested for corrosivity by the National Research Center. Test exposes Igloo Cellulose material to different structural metals and verified for corrosivity.
The following metal samples were exposed to extreme weather conditions during 28 days at 500 degrees Co temperature and 95% relative humidity. To pass there must not be any perforations on the metal samples as this would indicate potential pitting and corrosion.
Igloo Cellulose is manufactured using natural safe non toxic fi re retardant chemicals resulting in a pH of 7.0 to 8.0.
